The Brand That Love Built
Brooklyn Bambini is inspired by new life creating fine art heirloom gifts that celebrate the anticipation and arrival of children.

Brooklyn Bambini sprang from an exquisite object Brian created for me during my pregnancy with our first child in 1996. Brian is a sculptor and as such his most natural language is three-dimensional form. He was playing around with wax in his studio, contemplating the shift our lives were about to take and a palm-sized baby sculpture came into being. He cast it in Sterling Silver and gave it to me as a gift.
The progression of Brooklyn Bambini from something we were doing privately into a business came about in 2012. The timing seemed right to combine our talents and produce things we love to make and believe in. We added necklaces and bracelets featuring tiny charms of the original babies and expanded our small sculpture offerings to include an expectant Venus.
At Brooklyn Bambini the prospect of owning and living with fine art becomes accessible in both size and cost. Scaled for the tabletop, neck, wrist and palm of the hand means our products are affordable. Our objects are individually made in the lost wax method. The ratio of wax models to finished sculptures and charms is 1:1, which means every piece we make comes to be through many hours of handwork. The sculptures are engravable which provides the opportunity for additional meaning to be imbued to them. We are not making things that are grown out of. What we are making are heirlooms, lifelong symbols of the moment a family was born.
Everything Brooklyn Bambini produces is made by hand, in America.
The babies are cast in the lost wax method wherein each piece begins as a wax model that is coated in a material that hardens into a ceramic shell into which liquid metal is poured. When the metal cools, the ceramic shell is broken away releasing the sculpture. The ratio of wax models to finished pieces is 1:1.
The baby figurines are 2.75 inches long, weighing 4.5 ounces in bronze and 5 ounces in silver. Each figurine bears a maker’s mark guaranteeing its authenticity and comes in a gift box, nestled in a branded flannel bunting jeweler’s cloth.
